This year, Fall Prevention Week centers around one powerful call to action: get older adults moving for fall prevention! Our shared goal? That after completing the online fall risk test, older adults take immediate action. We want them to sign up for a suitable exercise program tailored to their personal risk profile: low, moderate, or high. Together, we take a big step toward fewer fall incidents and greater independence for seniors.
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and VeiligheidNL warmly invite you to an inspiring afternoon filled with knowledge, practical examples, and interaction on the integrated approach to fall prevention.
π Location: Central Netherlands
π Time: Afternoon program including lunch and closing drinks
πΈ Cost: Free participation
From test to action! Get older adults moving for fall prevention
During this interactive event, weβll dive into the key question: How do we ensure that older adults move from a fall risk test to suitable follow-up activities? Whether itβs a fall-prevention exercise intervention or regular sports and physical activity programs. Discover how technology can support the integrated approach and get inspired by practical examples you can apply right away.
π₯ Who is it for?
For policymakers and professionals involved in coordinating or implementing the integrated fall prevention approach β from municipalities and public health services (GGDs) to community sports coaches, MBvO instructors, physiotherapists, and providers of exercise interventions such as In Balans, Otago, and Vallen Verleden Tijd. Know a colleague who might be interested? Feel free to share this invitation.
π The program is currently being finalized, but one thing is certain: you donβt want to miss this!
