We are pleased to invite you to the inaugural lecture of Christine Carabain on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Hogeschool Leiden, room F0.017.

Christine Carabain is appointed as Professor of Broad Prosperity at the Faculty of Management & Business at Hogeschool Leiden. The professorship is part of the Knowledge Center for Applied Broad Prosperity. Together with her colleagues at this center, she aims to make broad prosperity applicable through practice-oriented research and provide organizations and businesses with concrete tools to work with the concept of broad prosperity.

In her lecture, Christine will elaborate on the concept of broad prosperity and discuss the importance and potential of applying it to address complex societal and organizational challenges. She will also present an outline of the focus of practice-oriented research in this field by the Knowledge Center for Applied Broad Prosperity in the coming years.

A key objective of the professorship is to experiment and learn together with professional practice and education. This ensures that new insights easily find their way into the workplace and the education programs of the Faculty of Management & Business.
