The inaugural address of prof. dr. ir. Jan-Carel Diehl, will delve into the intersection of design for healthcare accessibility and environmental sustainability. Through a systemic design lens, he will present examples of innovative medical device solutions developed in both high-resource and low-resource settings. These examples illustrate the potential of systemic design in the context of inclusive sustainable healthcare.
Following the resolution of the Executive Board of 7 March 2023 to appoint prof. dr. ir. Jan-Carel Diehl as professor of Design for Inclusive Sustainable System Interventions, within the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineeering at Delft University of Technology, has the intention to give an inaugural address at the occasion of his installation, entitled: ’Inclusive Sustainable Healthcare: A Paradox?’
The Rector Magnificus/President of Delft University of Technology, prof. dr. ir. T.H.J.J. van der Hagen, herewith invites you to attend this academic ceremony. After the inaugural address there will be a reception to meet and congratulate the speaker.
Professors of other universities are welcome to wear their gown and cap and walk in the procession (cortège) with the professors of Delft University of Technology. The professors will be expected at 14:30 hrs in the Senate Hall (Aula/3rd Floor).
As of 2023, Delft has introduced paid parking for the public parking spaces on campus.
We would also like to point out that from September 2023, parking will have to be paid for in all TU Delft car parks and/or parking garages.
