Expert meetings of Thesis Lab Groene Zorg opened to the public

The Groene Zorg Expert Meetings of the Thesis Lab Groene Zorg, organized by the LDE Centre for Sustainability and Medical Delta, are open to interested participants this year. Eleven students are conducting their graduation research within the Thesis Lab, focusing on sustainability challenges in healthcare organizations. Through the Expert Meetings, they gain essential knowledge, background information, and input needed for their research. For the first time, external participants now have the opportunity to join these sessions.

The awareness that healthcare can become much more sustainable is widely shared. But how do you approach that?

The Groene Zorg Expertmeetings showcase new solutions and insights for sustainable healthcare through five site visits and meetings. From healing rooftop gardens to reducing medication waste, workplace behavioral change, and recycling medical devices. With stories from, among others, the Leiden University Medical Center, Erasmus MC, Sophia Children's Hospital, Zilveren Kruis, Johnson & Johnson, Reinier de Graaf, Haga, Van Straten Medical, and researchers from the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus universities.

  • Mini seminar – Out of the stranglehold (Mar 6)
  • Masterclass – A better healthcare environment starts (not) with yourself (Mar 20)
  • Mini seminar – Sustainable care: beautiful examples for your own organization (May 15)
  • Mini seminar – Repair, refurbishment, and recycling of medical devices and short circular chains (May 27)

Interested participants can sign up for each activity separately or follow the entire series. If you attend four or more afternoons, you will receive a certificate of participation.
