A Raak-MKB subsidy has been granted for the continuation of the Vital Delta project BiBoZ. The working title is BiBoZ-Practice Study (BiBoZ-PS) and the official starting date will be 1 September 2022.
The BiBoZ-method (Blijf in Beweging ondersteuning Zorgprofessionals) is a person-oriented approach in which the context of clients is central in stimulating sustainable healthy exercise behaviour. The method has been developed by teacher-researchers and students of three universities of applied sciences, together with clients and physiotherapists. A feasibility study shows that clients and professionals are positive about the method.
In the next two years, together with professionals and clients, the BiBoZ method will be optimised and an implementation strategy for daily physiotherapy practice will be developed. Subsequently, a hybrid implementation-effect study will be carried out in six physiotherapy practices. The implementation strategy, the implementation itself and the effects of the BiBoZ method will be evaluated. At the end of this project, the BiBoZ method will be scaled up to a national level. The summary of the BiBoZ-2 application can be found here.
BiBoZ-PS falls within the programme 'Vital Delta: Medical Delta's journey towards vitality and health', and was set up by a consortium of the four universities of applied sciences within Medical Delta (Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, and Leiden University of Applied Sciences). In addition, six physiotherapy practices, a care innovation company (Zorg1), a client organisation (DVN) and a professional association (KNGF) are involved. They are advised by a sounding board with a wide range of expertise.
