Tuesday, October 5, 2021

Medical Delta has launched the first 'Medical Delta Talent Acceleration Call'. With this call, Medical Delta is allocates a total of € 200,000 this year to projects of talented scientists. They can use this funding to carry out pilot studies. The aim of this call is to kick-start junior researchers and increase their chance for successful funding applications elsewhere.

More than 350 scientists work within Medical Delta on 15 interdisciplinary scientific programs at the cutting edge of Health & Technology. These studies contribute to technological solutions for sustainable care. The future of this Medical Delta research partly depends on the success of new research talent. With the 'Medical Delta Talent Acceleration Call', Medical Delta aims to stimulate interdisciplinary research talent at the affiliated Medical Delta knowledge institutes and to support the current scientific programs.

Follow-up study

"Especially for research talent, it is relatively difficult to get grants for their research. They compete with established names sometimes, which means that their research does not always take off right away," says Prof. Dr. Frank Willem Jansen, chairman of Medical Delta. "With this call, we can fund pilot studies of talented researchers and thus increase the chance of funding for follow-up research."

A maximum of € 50,000 is available per project with a maximum duration of one year. The total budget for this call is € 200,000. More information can be found via this link.
