At the annual Young Medical Delta Thesis Awards, young research talent was given the stage at De Machinist in Rotterdam. The event brought together talented students, young researchers, and academics to recognize the best bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD theses in the field of healthcare innovation and medical technology.
For the first time, a student from a university of applied sciences (hbo) won a Young Medical Delta Award. The award includes both a financial prize and recognition for their outstanding research.
The evening was officially opened by Amar Levens (Chair of Young Medical Delta) and Prof. Dr. Frank Willem Jansen (Chair of Medical Delta). They highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in healthcare.
With a full house and an engaged audience, the atmosphere was dynamic and inspiring. Both the finalists and attendees enjoyed a delicious dinner and drinks, while listening to the presentations of the selected candidates. In between presentations, there was ample opportunity for networking and discussion.
The nominees in each category presented their research to an expert jury, consisting of Medical Delta professor prof. dr. Jenny Dankelman, Medical Delta lector AnneLoes van Staa and prof. dr. Maarten van der Elst.
