Reflection and magazine Festival Gezond Verstand

Friday, October 25, 2024
Nearly 160 people attended the Festival Gezond Verstand this month. The province of South Holland created an online magazine in response to this festival, featuring a reflection and inspiring examples of initiatives that enhance the health and well-being of the residents of South Holland.

The magazine also highlights the online knowledge platform GezondZuidHolland.nl, which bridges the gap between research and policy. GezondZuidHolland.nl was developed by the Healthy Society program of Medical Delta and Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities in collaboration with the Province of South Holland. It also features the Healthy Society program itself, which was officially launched during the festival.

Opportunities for South Holland

South Holland has, on average, the lowest healthy life expectancy in the Netherlands, and the health disparities between its residents are also the largest. At the same time, South Holland offers great opportunities due to the high density of knowledge institutions, startups, companies, and government institutions. During the Festival Gezond Verstand, they came together to inspire each other, share knowledge and experiences, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
