Vouchers for healthcare technology companies with financing question

Monday, August 29, 2022

As of 1 September, healthcare technology companies from Zuid-Holland can make use of European subsidy funds via ‘Kansen voor West’. The vouchers compensate up to € 25,000 for participation in an Investor Readiness Programme or up to € 10,000 for external advice. The vouchers are intended to help companies accelerate the application and scaling up of their technological solution in the healthcare sector. The innovation programme ZorgTech helps companies with this scheme.

How to receive a voucher?

If you are interested, you can submit an application via the ‘Kansen voor West’ web portal from 1 September. The innovation programme ZorgTech organises an online consultation hour every Monday. Companies with questions about this scheme can sign up here. ZorgTech can tell you more about which programmes there are, connect you to experts and help you formulate your need for advice. The call is open until the budget of € 500,000 has been spent and runs until 30 June 2023 at the latest.

Who is this call for?

This call is for companies working on technological solutions for healthcare. This is focused on products and systems that are used for diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, treatment or alleviation of diseases. It is mainly about the deployment of innovative technologies, such as Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Wearables, Blockchain, health robotics, 3D printing etcetera. Both start-ups and scale-ups working towards an investment can apply.

What can you do with the vouchers?

With the programme voucher you can participate in a so-called Investor Readiness Programme (IRP). In this interview you can read more about the different programmes and what participation means. An IRP helps to strengthen companies and increase their chances of success for financing. During the programme, you will be given theory, assignments, discussions with peers and 1-on-1 coaching by experts. You take a close look at your team, business model, customer and solution. After an IRP you will have a better idea of what you can still work on to increase your chances of obtaining funding.

If you have a specific question or do not wish to participate in a programme, you can also apply for an advice voucher. You can use this to pay for the hiring of an expert. The advice can be about strengthening your business case, understanding the financing structures of the healthcare sector or about legal aspects, such as certification of technology.
