In an atmospheric venue in the center of Leiden, graduates from various programs within the Medical Delta collaboration pitched their research projects. The objective: to clinch a Young Medical Delta Thesis Award in one of the three categories. With a record number of 34 submitted research projects, it was not surprising that the level of the nominees was high and the awards ceremony attracted much interest.
Despite the diversity of research topics, the jury, consisting of Medical Delta professors John van den Dobbelsteen and Douwe Atsma, along with Medical Delta Lecturer Sanne de Vries, almost unanimously reached a verdict in the different categories.
