There are many initiatives and collaborations that help and activate students to support more sustainable healthcare and help innovations become effective in the healthcare sector. Below is an overview of some of these initiatives:

  • Centre for Sustainability is one of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities Centres and offers, among other things, interdisciplinary educational programs. In collaboration with Medical Delta, the Interdisciplinary Thesis Lab Sustainable Hospitals has been established. Master's students can conduct their thesis research under the guidance of experts from the field.
  • GREENER is a multidisciplinary expert group committed to embedding sustainability in health and care education. The group is diverse, ranging from students to healthcare professionals and researchers, all with expertise and extensive experience in planetary health and education.
  • The Green Office of TU Delft connects students and staff to make the TU Delft campus more sustainable.
  • PKVV – the umbrella organization for student associations in Leiden – has a board member responsible for sustainability.
  • Green Care Academy shares short videos with basic knowledge about sustainable healthcare and in-depth webinars.
