Societal challenges in health, well-being, and care call for new forms of collaboration. No single organization or sector can solve these complex, often multifaceted issues alone. Public-private partnerships (PPPs) respond to this need. This instrument has evolved into a mature form of collaboration for research and innovation in health and care.
PPPs are therefore an effective way to accelerate the development of innovations and embed them in existing (healthcare) processes. But how can they be applied effectively?
The white paper 'Collaboration Works' explores answers to this question. In the white paper, Medical Delta examines the structure and objectives of public-private partnerships and how they can be applied in the development of innovations and their implementation in the health, care, and well-being sectors.
A concrete example is the healthcare innovation program ‘WorkTech’. Within this program, six public-private partnerships are working on labor-saving innovations in health, well-being, and care.
The white paper discusses the first findings from this program, based on input from program partners (ZWconnect, InnovationQuarter, and Medical Delta), Health~Holland, and a participant.
Curious about the conclusions and insights on using PPPs to address complex health challenges? Read the full white paper below or download the whitepaper here (both are in Dutch).
The white paper marks the start of a series of interviews with the project consortia from the WorkTech healthcare innovation program. In the coming months, we will share more about their projects and collaboration, as well as their experiences and lessons learned.

The collaborative project WorkTech is co-funded through PPP (public-private partnership) allowance granted by Health~Holland, Top Sector Life Sciences & Health, to stimulate public-private collaboration.
