More than € 800,000 to increase role of MRI in healthcare

Prof. Dr. Andrew Webb, Professor of the Physics of MRI at the LUMC and Medical Delta Professor, has received an NWO TTW Open Technology grant of € 883,000 to enhance the role that MRI plays in secondary and tertiary healthcare.

€750,000 for next phase Zorgtech innovation program

The Province of Zuid-Holland is making €750,000 available for the ZorgTech innovation program. This program supports businesses and healthcare organizations in Zuid-Holland with their development of innovative solutions to improve healthcare. Medical Delta is partner of this program.

Dr. Maryam Kavousi (Erasmus MC), researcher of the scientific program Medical Delta Cardiac Arrhythmia Lab, receives a Dekker scholarship from the Dutch Heart Foundation for her research on heart failure and atrial fibrillation.

David de Glint appointed new Managing Director of Medical Delta

As of 1 September, David de Glint has joined Medical Delta as Managing Director (a.i.). He succeeds Gertine van der Vliet. De Glint has a background as program manager, secretary and director at various organizations, including Bouwend Nederland, FOCWA and the Reinier de Graaf hospital.

A team of researchers involved in the scientific program Medical Delta Cardiac Arrythmia Lab has created a research setup at Erasmus MC that keeps slices of human heart tissue alive in a biomimetic system. This allows the team to see the effect of medication or treatments on specific patients in a very targeted way and for a longer period of time.
